Full ingredient lists, amounts per serving and batch testing information are published rather than requested. If we cannot document it, we do not print it.
Sovinut began in 2019 in Oakland, California, with a label we could not read. One of our founders was standing in a pet store comparing two supplements for her dog. Both listed the same ingredients. Neither said how much of anything was in a serving.
She called a friend who formulates animal nutrition products, and the two of them decided to build a brand that would publish the numbers. Not on request, not behind a customer service email — on the package and on the product page, next to the guaranteed analysis and the feeding guide.
Today Sovinut makes eight formulas across four nutrition categories for healthy adult dogs and cats, in three formats: daily chews, meal toppers and soft chews. We are still a small team, we still review every formula together on Fridays, and we still write our claims in plain nutrition language.

“We are not trying to convince anyone that a chew can fix something. We are trying to make it easy to see exactly what is in the jar, how much of it there is, and whether it fits your pet’s daily routine. If the label is honest, the rest of the decision belongs to you and your veterinarian.”

Formulas are built for healthy adult dogs and cats, with serving sizes organized by weight band so the daily amount is easy to get right at home.
We write plain nutrition language. No miracle wording, no invented numbers, no borrowed authority — just what is in the jar and why it is there.
We work with named suppliers who provide a certificate of analysis for every lot, and we prefer ingredients with a documented origin and production method.
